What is the minimum and maximum age required to rent a vehicle?
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years old. There is no maximum age limit.
Is there a required interval between bookings?
Yes. A minimum 2-hour interval is required after the previous trip ends to allow for inspection and preparation.
Do you offer any discounts or promotions?
At this time, we do not offer discounts or promotional pricing.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A $250 refundable security deposit is required for all rentals.
What is the shortest and longest rental duration allowed?
Minimum rental period: 7 days
Maximum rental period: No limit
Extended rentals are welcome based on availability.
How are sales tax, coupons, and additional fees applied?
Sales tax is included in the weekly rental rate, unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement.
How many miles are included with the rental?
All rentals include unlimited miles.
What are your standard business hours?
Our standard business hours are 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
What delivery locations do you offer, and what are the fees for each?
Boston Rental Cars does not regularly offer delivery services. However, delivery may be considered with advance notice and prior approval, depending on availability and location.
What are the allowed pick-up and return times?
Pick-up and return times are arranged on a case-by-case basis and will be confirmed in your rental agreement.
Is there a specific schedule for custom deliveries?
No. Custom delivery requests are handled individually and must be arranged in advance.

Yes, pick-ups and returns outside standard business hours may be allowed on a case-by-case basis, with prior approval.

There are no mileage overage charges, as rentals include unlimited miles.

There is no fee for an additional driver, as long as they meet requirements and are listed on the rental agreement.
What are the penalties or fees for smoking in the vehicle?
🚭 Smoking is strictly prohibited (including cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, vapes, etc.).
Any evidence of smoking will result in a $200 cleaning fee.
Are there any fees associated with EZ Pass or toll usage?
Renters are responsible for all tolls, parking violations, and tickets incurred during the rental period.
All vehicles include a UNI Pass device. Please notify Boston Rental Cars if you plan to use toll lanes.
Toll bills may take 30–60 days to be received. Once invoiced, renters are expected to review and pay promptly.
Is there a cleaning fee? Under what conditions is it charged?
We provide every vehicle clean and ready for your trip. Please return it in reasonable condition to avoid additional charges.
Cleaning fees may apply as follows:
Moderate Cleaning – $50
Includes mud, sand, moderate bug debris, minor odors, and small spills
Heavy Cleaning – $100
For moderate stains, heavy odors, and extensive debris
Severe Cleaning – $150
Steam cleaning or full detailing required
Pet Hair Removal – $150
Multiple Issues Cleaning – $250
Extremely Dirty: $200
Filthy: $300+
A minimum cleaning fee of $150 will be applied if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty.
⚠️ Beach Notice:
If the vehicle is taken to the beach, it must be thoroughly cleaned before return.
Sand and sunscreen residue require detailing and will result in a $250 cleaning fee.
🐶 Pet Policy:
We love animals, but pets are not allowed in our rental vehicles.
🚭 Smoking Reminder:
Any evidence of smoking will result in a $200 cleaning fee, even if fragrances are used to mask the smell.
